Description
Antique homespun Pennsylvania Dutch Show towel measuring 14.5 by 50 inches. Natural linen color, with a hand filet lace ground along the bottom of one section. In the filet lace are embroidered PA Dutch motifs, like stars, tulips. and birds. There is also the date 1836, and and the name "BINS". I have done a quick online and came up with a couple of BINS from the Lancaster region. At the top of the towel are two hand made loops out of button hole stitches. In very good condition. There is a small discoloration in the lace, and another in the homespun.
