Antique quilt, circa 1880s, measuring 76"x86". Made up of 72 blocks measuring 9.5" square. Nine Patch Pattern with alternating square. A nice variety of period fabrics: purples (some starting to go brown, some very strong), copper toned madders, dark reds with brown, plaids, and shirtings. The backing is a wonderful brown that was 24" wide. It is not quilted, it is tied with white wool yarn. Front and back are knife edge finished, no binding.
