Description
Antique French cotton fabric sample measuring 31 inches wide by 19 inches. Off white ground with Large Jacobean motifs with leaves and flowers scrolling around. It has a needlework like appearance, like a faux stitching. Colors are predominantly brown and yellow and pink with little bursts of color in blue, and purple. Original labels still attached, one says Fabrication Garancee Garantie Grand Teint Procede Scheurer - Rott. Another says Momie with an inked note dates this 1884-1885. In excellent condition.
