Antique quilt, circa 1870s, from Lancaster, Pennsylvania.  It measures 70 by 84 inches.  And is a large Feathered Diamond pattern in the center.  Made with overdyed dreen and double pink fabric, it is hand pieced and hand quilt at 8 spi.  There are cable designs quilted in the borders.  There is a very thin batting.  It was finished by bringing the front fabric over to the back and applied by hand.  The backing fabric is a fantastic brown print that’s width was 24 inches.  It is in very good condition.  There is a large spot on the front, and a spot on the back.
