Antique quilt measuring 66 by 85 inches. Colors are turkey red, green, and yellow. The closest pattern I can match this up with is an Ohio Rose Variation. It is hand appliquéd and hand quilted at 6 spi. Circa 1910. There are 20 blocks, each measuring about 15.5 inches square. Green border 2.5 inches wide and finishes the edges by wrapping around to the back of the quilt where it is hand applied. The batting is thin.
It is very good condition. I mended a small tear and replaced the stitching to part of a vine, a bud, and a center flower. The quilt has an over all primitive, folk art feel with it's simple shapes, no elaborate borders, and workmanship...and the stitches are uneven.
