Antique quilt top, circa 1900s, measuring 62 by 64 inches. There are 25 blocks measuring 8.75 inches. The sashing is pieces in indigo and pink cotton, with 4 patch cornerstones. The fabrics include plaids, stripes, shirtings, mourning prints, clarets, indigo, and more. It is hand pieced. In Barbara Brackman’s “Encyclopedia of Pieced Quilt Patterns” this is pattern number 3805a, called Rolling Star, Cross and Crown, Brunswick Star, Chained Star, Virginia Reel, and Rolling Star. In very good condition. This was previously tagged by a dealer as being from Maryland.
