This antique tapestry purse I believe to have been made from a piece of Victorian Paisley Shawl. Circa late 1800s. It is hand beaded with tiny steel beads, following the design of the Paisley pattern. It is also fringed with these beads. The frame is a silver metal bejeweled with turquoise and red stones. A rose is in the center with wonderful ornamentation above the ball clasp. The chain carries the floral motif as well. Lined in red silk. The purse, lining and frame are all in excellent condition. But the fringe is missing a few ot its beaded dangles. I have a small bag of beads that have come from the fringe that might help restore it. And I will include it with the purse. It measures 7" wide on top and expands to 9" wide on the bottom and about 9.5" long, not including the fringe. Free US Insured Shipping.
