Vintage quilt top, circa 1930s, measuring 69 by 78 inches.  The pattern is number 1646b in Barbara Brackman’s “Encyclopedia of Pieced Quilt Patterns”, called Grecian Square, Grecian Designs, and Greek Square.  There are 42 7.5 inch squares, white with pastel purple, pink, yellow cottons, and a black chambray cotton.  The sashing varies in width from 3 to 3.5 inches wide, so the blocks are not perfectly aligned.  The sashing is a white with pink, yellow, and green floral.  The top is hand pieced.  It is in good condition with a couple of spots.
