Vintage quilt top measuring 76 by 82 inches. Circa 1940s. Basket pattern with 25 8.25 by 8.25 inch baskets, on point, with alternate blue cotton squares on point. Each basket has stripes, plaids, grey chambray, and indigo. There is a 2.5 inch blue border and a woven grey stripe with red border that is 8.5 inches on 2 sides and 5.5 inches on two sides. It is in very good condition with one spot. This pattern is found in Barbara Brackman’s “Encyclopedia of Pieced Quilt Patterns”, it is number 713, Basket of Chips, Chip Basket, Basket of Flowers, and Flower Pot.
