am dating these small sample books from 1900-1925. There are 3 from John Wanamaker of Philadelphia, 2 Henrietta fabrics, and 1 Silk Mixed Fabric. The rest are from Strawbridge & Clothier of Philadelphia. 8 are wool samples, about 4-5 samples in each little book. 4 more books feel like silk or silk mixed, 4-6 samples in each little book. Condition is only good. Papers are browning, wrinkled, a few torn...one cover is removed, but present. All S&C fabrics are in fantastic condition, the JW fabrics are fair...wrinkled and one has holes in it. Still, a fabulous find for the textile or fabric collector.
