| Very pretty 1930s Quilt or Summer Spread. It is backed, but has no backing, so it is very lightweight. It measures 78"x65". Consists of 30 blocks, each about 10.5"x10.5", a 3.5" green print border and a 2.5" white border, that is folded over to the back and finished. The pattern in #3538 in Brackman's Encyclopedia of Pieced Quilt Patterns. The blocks, borders and quilting were done by machine, but the applique was done by hand in black thread with a buttonhole stitch. The fabrics are a wonderful array of typical depression era scraps, pastel and pretty, and can't help but to cheer up a room. In good condition. Some of the small seams need some repair.
