Vintage circa 1910 redwork embroidery quilt measuring 72 inches by 74 inches.
There are 64 squares, each about 7.5 inches by 7.5 inches. Each square is distinct with a red herringbone embroidered stitch. The designs include: Bears doing various days of the week chores, a butterfly, sailboats, birds, lady in a hat, owl, dutch girls, Indian girl, chicks, donkey, eagle, cherub, cross, several cottages, rooster, the initial A, an upside anchor, and upside down horseshoe. It is hand quilted in a crosshatch pattern at 10 spi, very nice quilting. It is a lightweight quilt.
The quilt was finished by bringing the front to the back and hand finished.
It is in good condition, there is some pocketing in the batting and a few stitches have come undone in the embroidery.
