Vintage 1930s Sun Bonnet Sue Quilt measuring 80 inches by 80 inches. 

There are 12 Sue Blocks, 12 inches square, set on point, and a 4.5 inch teal blue border.  She is hand appliquéd, machine pieced, and the binding was applied by machine.  The outline embroidery in black thread was done by hand, as was the quilting at 9 spi.  The backing is a white cotton fabric. 

The quilt is in good condition with some fraying around some appliqué pieces.  And I can’t help but to think that the white bonnets were not originally white.
