Antique French toile cotton fabric measuring 32 inches by 25 inches. This is a colored toile: off white ground with brown, red, green, and blue. The scene of of a young couple picking cherries from a tree. There are Rococo motifs, a mandolin, and a quiver with arrows. The textile is in very good condition, no large spots or holes. It was previously part of a museum collection so there is a small tag sewn on a back corner that reads " Les Cirises de Apris - XVIII Centur". While this claims to be 18th century, with research, I see this textile dated online as c1860s. So unless I can find otherwise, I will consider that date and err on the side of the later date.
